Neuro-Muscular Therapy
Our most popular program of soft tissue manipulation balances the body's central nervous system with the muscular-skeletal system. The goal is to help relieve the pain and dysfunction by understanding the underlying cause. It is used to locate and release muscle knots and spasms and eliminate trigger points that cause pain. Depending upon the injury and pain pattern, this usually takes 3-4 consecutive visits to re-train sore overused muscles. This technique restores postural alignment, increases joint flexibility, aids in rebuilding strength of injured muscles and assists in venous lymphatic flow. Neuromuscular Therapy maintains tissue nutrition and helps to eliminate the cycle of pain and stress. Techniques include deep tissue, trigger point, sports, facilitated stretching, traction and orthopedic massage techniques. |

Orthopedic Massage Orthopedic Massage combines the rehabilitative benefits of manual therapy with the relaxing effects of massage. Clients receive a session that provides pain relief and functional rehabilitation. Precise and extremely effective, this therapy is suitable for most orthopedic conditions including lower back pain, whiplash, and rotator cuff injuries. With long-term benefits, this system of functional rehabilitation uses techniques that stimulate the making of new cells, rehydrate cartilage, and realign soft tissue. It is the elimination of excess scar tissue (along with exercises and proper stretching) that will allow the injured area to finally regain strength and normal use. |

Sports Massage
This treatment focuses on muscle groups related to your sport. Tight muscles impair performance and can lead to injury when stressed. Deep tissue techniques, kneading, jostling, shaking and assisted stretching can relieve areas of tension before it becomes chronic. Sport massage brings blood and oxygen to tense areas and helps flush out metabolic waste products built up after heavy muscle use.

Pregnancy MassageGentle and specific massage designed to relieve discomfort without residual pain. Treatment is received in a side-lying position while supported by pillows. Full relaxation is achieved while areas of tension are gently released. We teach our pregnant clients how to sleep comfortably. Pregnancy massage reduces back and neck pain, sciatica and can help lower blood pressure. |
Cranial-Sacral TherapyCranial-Sacral Therapy is a very gentle therapy that improves physical, mental and emotional health by freeing restrictions of movement in the cranial-sacral bones. The therapist will concentrate on the head-sacrum-pelvis regions, using light direct finger pressure to relax the target area, and the entire body. Cranial Sacral Therapy restores flow of energy to reinstate physical emotional and mental well-being. |
ReikiReiki is a healing art. It is a hands-on energy therapy that increases the flow of energy to the body and enhances the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It is a gentle, non-intrusive therapy that reawakens the body’s inner healing powers. Reiki affects each individual in a personal way as it nurtures one’s physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects. It increases one’s sense of well being and develops a conscious awareness as well as create and improve mental balance and deep relaxation. Reiki clients report substantial pain relief following Reiki treatments. We offer individual 60 minute Reiki sessions and also Reiki I, II, III classes. |
Chair MassageChair Massage focuses on the upper body areas that often cause problems for people who sit at a desk for extended periods of time. Chair massage can help prevent or relieve tension headaches, neck pain, back problems and repetitive stress injuries. The massage takes place in a specially designed chair provided by the therapist and is performed in normal work attire without oil. Leaning forward in the chair allows complete relaxation. Just 15 minutes of chair massage can be very beneficial. We offer chair massage at our office and also corporate on-site chair massage. We also offer a “quick clothed table massage” for the same rates and times as chair massage. |

Massage Therapy When correctly applied, massage should not be painful. Your muscles are warmed, stroked, kneaded, stretched and soothed into relaxation. This is the basic framework for clinical and orthopedic treatment for soft tissue injury, stress and pain. We work directly with your physician, physical therapist or chiropractor for specific cases to be sure your care is on the same path of recovery. If you are currently being seen by one of these clinicians, and not getting results, massage or Reiki may help in conjunction. Sessions are tailored to your specific needs. We educate on the cause of pain, how the musculoskeletal system works and provide information pertaining to your diagnosis. We take time to answer your questions and give you information needed to heal quickly and also to minimize the discomfort associated with your condition. We evaluate habits, and posture and educate on the application of heat and cold, proper stretching and sleep. This home care speeds up the healing process and ensures maximum benefits from your treatments.

Lymphatic Massage |

It's important to receive touch from a qualified practitioner who has worked with cancer patients before. The benefits of massage for these clients include improved blood circulation, equalized blood pressure, and help with fatigue and nausea. The place to start is by consulting with your physician and your massage therapist. For those who are 2-3 months out from treatment, bodywork that can be used includes lymph drainage therapies, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular therapy, myotherapy and myofascial release, among others. It's better to wait before receiving deeper work. Please call us for more information. |

Lymph Massage is designed to promote the healthy flow of lymph, the clear fluid which supports immune system function by flowing through the body and sequestering foreign material like viruses. This type of massage is generally very gentle, but there are some serious contraindications, because massage work around the lymphatic system can make some medical conditions worse. Therefore, it is important to talk to a doctor before booking an appointment for lymph massage. Some practitioners recommend lymph massage right before surgery, to ensure that the lymphatic system is clear. It may also be used after surgery to reduce swelling. Clients should be aware that swollen lymph nodes can be a sign of a serious health condition which requires medical treatment, not massage. |
